With his music’s ability to connect with a wide range of audiences, he was introduced to the sync world in 2013, and has since gotten an impressive range of sync placements across shows including Kevin Hart's "Zero F***s Given," Young Famous & African, Gentefied, and This Is Pop all on Netflix, NBA 2K22, Lizzo’s “Watch Out For The Big Grrrls” on Prime Video, Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu, The Hype on HBO Max, All American, Step Up: High Water, The Rookie on ABC, Ellen Degeneres, and XFINITY among a host of others.

Being an advocate for music education, he shares his expertise in his online sync licensing course Paid to Play, in his handbook Pen Game Portfolio: Vol. 2., and through his co-founded performing arts organization Fresh & Local ATL, which hosts local showcases and workshops to help Atlanta-based artists make the most of their craft.

One recent notable project is his popular Youtube music commentary podcast Inside the Industry w/ J Nolan, which primarily covers contemporary discourse in “[...] urban entertainment, music, & lifestyle.” His latest album SoufSide Nolan, Vol. 1 harkens back to his roots, mirroring the music he made in high school with his friends. With an entrepreneurial spirit, an unwavering creative authenticity, and a drive to help creators in need, J Nolan continues to have a profound impact on the local and global music scene.

In terms of future projects, J Nolan is continuing to make strides in the sync world, so be on the lookout for placements across different visual mediums, such as mobile games. Continuing his trend of confessional album releases, he’s also working on new music inspired by his experiences becoming a husband and father over the last two years.
